THE TYPE OF PAINT
We used Plascon Double Velvet because of its luxurious, velvet sheen finish. It’s also easy to clean and stain resistant. Plascon Cashmere is also a great choice, offering a plush, matt finish, which hides imperfections.
Earth-inspired Ridge (G5-E1-3), from Plascon Forecast’s Terrain story for 2017, is the green-tinged, restorative lynchpin of this palette, complemented by other soft hues from the mossy spectrum, like Petite White (G3-E2-3) and Nomadic Dream (EC 56), and brought to life with a pop of Velvet Pansy (P5-B1-1).
Clockwise from top: Painting, stylist’s own. Soft-edge chair by Hay, and base floor lamp by Tom Dixon, both Créma Design. Plant, Starke Ayres. Rug, Gonsenhausers Fine Rugs. Gansu hand-painted wooden trunk, brass side table and throw, all Weylandts. Ceramic teacup, Clementina van der Walt. Isobel Sippel scatter, Block and Chisel. Duvet cover set, Woolworths. True linen flat sheet, Mungo.
