Paint the wall in Plascon Double Velvet White. Use the tape measure, spirit level, masking tape and chalk to create a 10 cm wide band three-quarters of the way up the wall.
Make a glaze of 2 parts Plascon Water-based Scumble Glaze, 1 part Deep Sea Reef and 1 part water. Using the paintbrush, apply the glaze to the wall and spread it with the sponge roller.
Once the glaze is dry, coat the stencil with spray adhesive and glue it along the bottom of the wall. Using the sponge roller and paint tray, roll the darker paint evenly over the surface of the entire stencil. Remove the stencil.
Once dry, use the sanding block to sand the painted surface above the stencil, leaving a distressed effect.
