• Plascon Enamel Doors & Trims Cabana (G6-A1-2)
• Plascon Enamel Doors & Trims Silky Mint (G4-A2-1)
• Plascon Wood Primer
• Sandpaper
• Two pieces of plywood cut to size
• Drop sheet
• Plastic paint tray
• Hamilton’s Ensign 50mm paintbrush
• Electric drill
• 50mm wood screws
• The stepladder had never been painted, so it needed only a light sanding and a wipe-down with a wet cloth to ensure it was free of dust and dirt.
• Have two pieces of plywood cut to fit as shelves on the original rungs of the ladder.
• Working on a drop sheet, use the Hamilton’s Ensign paintbrush to give the ladder and the shelves a coat of Plascon Wood Primer. Allow the primer 16 hours to dry.
• Paint the whole ladder in the darker turquoise green, Plascon Enamel Doors & Trims Cabana (G6-A1-2). While you’re waiting for the first coat to dry, paint the plywood shelves in the lighter green, Plascon Enamel Doors & Trims Silky Mint (G4-A2-1). Both the ladder and the shelves will need two coats of paint.
• Once everything is dry, secure the plywood shelves to the steps of the ladder using the electric drill and 50mm wood screws.
